New PartyPoker Android App

PartyPoker, which is currently the 3rd largest online poker site has recently launched a new real money Android poker app. PartyPoker Android is very basic native mobile app that for now supports only Texas Hold’em cash games and FastForward Poker. So nothing for sit n’ go and tournament players here, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see them added later on if they really want to challenge PokerStars Mobile.

PartyPoker Android doesn’t allow making deposits or withdraws and players need to access the desktop client to top up their account. The app is available for customers with Android 2.1 device or higher and it can be downloaded by accessing partypoker.com with a smartphone or tablet. Before downloading it you need to allow the installation of non-market applications within your device settings.

PartyPoker Android app features:

  • Texas Hold’em Cash Games
  • FastForward Poker
  • Quick-table selection lobby
  • Real Money and Play Money tables
  • Multi-language support
  • Play on 3G or Wifi – connection
  • Supports smartphones and tablets

The app is still in Beta stage and players might experience some bugs and connection issues but at least now PartyPoker Android users have something to play with. iPhone and iPad users on the other hand still have to wait a little longer until PartyPoker is finished with their iOS poker versions. There is no official information on the iOS apps yet, but the rumours online say that they are in the pipeline.

2014 is definitely going to be an exciting year for mobile poker as the first generation smarphone apps have had their early bugs squished and the apps are being expanded with additional features. PartyPoker sure has got some catching up to do when it comes to mobile gambling and it’s going to be interesting to see what other online poker operators have got up their sleeve!
