Liverpool is still undefeated (2-1-0) in away matches this season with wins over Aston Villa and Sunderland. Newcastle is just 1-1-1 in home matches with their lone win coming against Fulham and their loss coming against Hull City, which is a team they should beat.
Coming into this match Liverpool is on a 2-match winning streak with 3-1 wins over Sunderland and Crystal Palace. Luis Suarez has scored three goals in those two matches and if he continues to put the ball in the back of the net I can see Liverpool doing well.
Earlier in the season Liverpool was winning and doing well, but they were struggling to score goals. Liverpool is still only averaging 1.57 goals per match, however, in away matches they’ve averaged 2 goals per match while only conceding 1 goal per match.
Newcastle has struggled to score as well (1.29 goals per match) and they concede an average of 1.71 goals per match. Posting stats like that isn’t going to get you far in the top league and that’s why Newcastle already has three losses on their resume this season.
It would be a lot worse if it weren’t for the offensive ability of Loic Remy who has scored five goals already. Ben Arfa has two goals while Gouffran and Cabaye have netted one goal apiece. Newcastle needs to find more goal scoring if they want to start winning.
The last time these two squads played was at the end of last season at St. James Park and Liverpool won 6-0. With an in-form Suarez and Sturridge (Six Goals) Liverpool should be able to handle their business at St. James Park again and come away with a victory.

If you’re looking for a banker bet on your accumulators next weekend I’d strongly consider the U3.5 goals in this match. Liverpool is playing steady at the back and they’ve only conceded five goals while keeping three clean sheets to begin the season.
Liverpool only has to worry about Remy. If they can shutdown Remy they’ll shutdown the entire Newcastle attack. I won’t be betting on the correct score, but I think Liverpool is going to win this match 2-0 with goals by Sturridge and Suarez.
