PokerStars Mobile available in EU

After successfully launching PokerStars Mobile in the UK, Italy and France earlier this year PokerStars is now releasing the app elsewhere in Europe. Players from all the European countries that have access to PokerStars.eu can download the app from the PokerStars Mobile portal. The new PokerStars.eu is regulated by Malta so the games are tax free for European players. More countries will be moved to the .eu site and Malta regulatory area in the future, but right now players from Finland, Sweden, Romania, Poland and Slovenia are able to play using PokerStars Mobile.

Players on the regular PokerStars.coPokerStars Mobile on iPhone and iPad m are not being left in the dark. More countries will get the PokerStars Mobile app in the future “as a part of a multi-phased release plan”, commented Jeffrey Haas, the Director of New Platforms at PokerStars.

““We want to cater to players on whatever devices they may have, wherever they might be and whenever they want to play poker,”, said  Jeffrey Haas.

PokerStars Mobile is an innovative multi-platform mobile poker app that has sharp graphics, smooth gameplay and is rich with features. This app might be closest to the desktop poker playing experience that we have had on mobile. With the app you can play anywhere you want against the world’s largest player pool on Texas or Omaha – in cash games and tournaments. All the same Tournaments and Sit & Go’s are available as on the desktop version and this is a feature that distinguishes PokerStars Mobile from competitors.

The app has been in development since 2010 when PokerStars purchased a mobile gaming company called Cecure Gaming. Cecure Gaming’s experience in Mobile platforms is clearly showing and the quality and playability of the app is top notch. Up to five tables on Tablet and four tables on Smartphone can be played simultaneously and switching between tables with swipe gesture is easy. Other features available are chat, quick play, sounds, player/tournament search and hand histories.

“We’re very proud of this product but it’s always evolving and there’s always going to be a long list of improvements we want to make,” said Danny Kashti, head of Mobile at PokerStars.

Zoom Poker Mobile to follow in the Summer

PokerStars launched Zoom Poker, their version of Fast Poker on March 2014 and it isn’t yet playable on PokerStars Mobile. Although Jeffrey Haas didn’t promise an exact release date for the Zoom Poker Mobile he said that players can expect to be playing it this summer.

Find out more about the app and download it from the PokerStars Mobile Portal.
