mFortune mobile Casino is licensed and located in the United Kingdom. Aiming for the mobile gaming markets, all of their games are playable on many different mobile devices from Smartphones to Tablets. Their main products are mobile casino slots and table games, but at the end of last year they expanded their catalog to multiplayer poker. mFortune does things their own way and this trend continues with their mobile poker app. Multiplayer poker games here are only playable within mFortune and they are not part of any larger poker network, unlike many other poker sites.

mFortune claims that 99% of all phone models are supported by their Mobile Texas Hold’em. It should be playable on almost every Smartphone and on an iPad. Android and Java Mobile Phone users can download and install the the App on their Smartphones. Apple users can play directly using an instant Java Safari Browser version, no download is necessary. Flash is not needed to play so it’s fully iPhone and iPad compatible.
Downloading the mFortune Mobile Texas Hold’em App is simple. One just needs to input their mobile phone number and choose their country to get a text message with a download link for the app. The app takes 4.42MB of space and it installs on your phone’s internal memory. We tested the app on HTC Desire with an Android OS version 2.2.2, using both 3G and a WiFi Connections.

Private Tables
Want to play private poker games with your friends on mobile?. Don’t look any further, you can host your own private tables on mFortune. This is one of the best features of this app and it’s very easy to create private tables and invite your friends to join. Just add players to your “friend list” by pressing their name at the table or by searching them with their nickname, email or name. After you’ve added your friends you can create a private table and invite them to join.

Graphics
The tested Smartphone App version had nice colorful graphics and it’s for sure one of the best looking mobile poker apps available. It looks as good as some of the most popular mobile play money poker apps, such as Zynga Poker. The graphs might appeal to many casual gamers from the casino side and it should lower the threshold for new players wanting to try it out.

Vibration when Turn
Good feature when playing mobile is the “vibration when turn”. You will never miss a hand again when using it and it’s especially good when you’re playing in a public place and there is a possibility for distraction. This is on by default but you can also turn it off, if it’s disturbing your playing.

Actions Log
Hand Histories are very basic and they are called “Actions log”. Actions log can be accessed from the bottom left side of your screen and there you can take a look at your previous hands. Previous hands are only shown from the current session at the table in question. These are only to be viewed within the app and they can’t be downloaded.

Gifts and Chat
One Arcade like feature is the ability to send gifts to other players at the table. These include drinks from coffee to beer, roses, hats and so on. Gifts received will then appear next to the player avatar at the table. Much like Zynga these are meant to increase the social experience of playing online poker. The usual chat function is of course there for more typical interaction with other players.

Betting
Betting is done by increasing/decreasing the bet size one blind at a time. You can’t type your bet size manually and there there are no advanced short cut buttons for betting such as “bet pot”, “bet 3x blind” or a “betting slider”. Only options are bet/raise blind by blind or all-in for betting and this is where this software lacks a bit when compared to others.

Texas Hold’em heads-up, 5 players or 8 players tables for play money or real money.
Real money cash games are played with blind levels:

- £2.00/£4.00
Rake percentage is 5% without a cap.

Final Words
mFortune Mobile Texas Hold’em is a very basic poker app with great graphics and it’s clearly aimed more towards casual gamers than pro’s. It was fun playing here for while and it functioned fast without any problems during our review. That being said we missed some of the more advanced features such as betting shortcuts, notes on opponents, multi-tabling and other poker variations. But the app is only couple months old and certainly it will become better with future updates.
Best part of this software is that it’s risk free to try it out with the £5 No Deposit Bonus and the competition here is very soft! These games are definitely beatable as mFortune attracts more recreational players than professional poker players. Another feature which distinguishes it from competitors are the private tables. Being able to create and host your own private tables has never been this easy, at least on a mobile poker app.
