Review
Ongame network was the first one to develop real money poker app for mobile but at first it was only made available by Bwin. Now RedKings is hopping on board with their recently launched Android Poker App and iOS apps will soon follow.
RedKings Android Poker app is essentially the same as the Bwin one that we have reviewed in detail before. The app is very basic with only Texas Hold’em cash games available at the moment. RedKings Android supports No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit cash games up to $2/$4. The good news is that RedKings is planning on adding sit n’ gos and multi-table tournaments later on. There is no word on multi-tabling support yet, but one could imagine that it’s in the development at least for the Android Tablet and iPad versions.
In graphics detail the app can stand in comparison with the market leader PokerStars Mobile and RedKings Android Poker App is rich in contrast, colorful and options like four color deck are guaranteed to keep you focused on everything that’s happening at the table.
Besides the limited game variations available the table selection is another feature where this app has room for improvement. You are assigned a free seat after the game type and stake selection and there is no way to browse the tables yourself. This feature is both good and bad. On the bright side the quick play suits mobile gaming because you’re seated right away and can enjoy couple hands here and then. The other side of the coin is that finding the loosest games or the same fish you stacked couple times before is not possible because your table selection is done automatically.

For new players RedKings is offering 6 different sign up bonuses from the small $250 all the way up to an amazing $2,500! Players can choose the right kind of sign up bonus to suit their playing level and there is something for everyone. Besides the sign up bonuses RedKings is giving $300 Bonus to every player that get dealt pocket red kings and a $500 Bad Beat Bonus to every player that looses a Texas Hold’em cash game hand holding red pocket kings!
Final Words
Playing with the RedKings Android Poker App is easy and fast and when you can’t access the desktop client it’s suitable for some casual mobile poker. But right now it’s not really competing with the Ongame desktop client or the versatile PokerStars Mobile. More serious ongame grinders, omaha&stud players and tournaments players will still have to carry the laptop on their travels. We will have to see how the Ongame poker apps evolve in the future and will the Amaya Gaming Group’s Ongame takeover have an effect on the network’s mobile gaming products.
